Liberals commit to inclusive drug program
RIVERVIEW - Liberal Leader Shawn Graham is committing to provide universal access to prescription drugs and protection from costs associated with catastrophic illness if re-elected as premier. "New Brunswickers need help in dealing with chronic diseases such as diabetes, and the fallout from illness that can have dramatic effects on one's finances," Graham said outside a pharmacy in Riverview. "The ability to pay shouldn't be the determining factor in quality of life."

UK faces branded medicines shortage
The UK is facing a serious shortage of branded medicines and the problem has got worse in the last year, experts have warned. Drugs intended for UK patients are being exported for sale abroad to take advantage of exchange rates and there have been issues with pharmaceutical company quota systems.
